# Looking after your space

Members mainly check that material is accurate and that they are in the correct space. Administrators manage the host, access, backups and updates. Clear responsibility is more useful than asking every member to learn server operations.

## A few regular checks

- Review members and devices; remove access that is no longer needed.
- Update commonly used material and rules when practice changes.
- Check whether model, speech and data services remain available.
- Know where backups are kept and which recent backup is usable.

Backups contain private material and need authorized custody. Automatic scheduled backup and one-click restore are not delivered yet; do not assume the system has done them for you.

## During an update

Check that the new version is usable and wait for current conversations and operations to finish. Preserve data, accounts and connection settings. Clearing material or creating a replacement space is not an upgrade solution.

Afterward, verify sign-in at the correct version, confirm retained material is available and check one real task. Updating a host and updating a client are different. Opening an old page does not prove the update completed.

## When your computer is the host

Remote use depends on the computer being on, connected and running the service. Other devices may temporarily lose access when it sleeps or shuts down. Discuss suitable hosting with the administrator if long-term shared access is needed.

## When technical help is needed

Record the time, release, space, action and visible message. Do not attach passwords, recovery keys or business material without permission. The person arranging deployment can inspect service status; ordinary members do not need to run maintenance commands.
